As a mature student with minimal computer science background, the professor did an amazing job to make this course accessible. The lectures were explained well and the course project was backed with presentations which helped us better understand the Software Engineering practices as we apply them to real uses case. Exams were fare.
Useful course and respected Professor. Lectures were informative and the professor explained the material very well. The project was interesting and helped reinforce the project management concepts. I enjoyed this course.
Stolen slop course material but ez. D2L quizzes behind a password to make attending lectures in-person mandatory. Prof is over-paranoid and distrusts students.TAs were super lenient and did not care about this course (as they should). Midterm/final questions were basic logic/vibes based so just study the calculations. Very easy to overstudy this.
Overall content of the course was fine. The course structure was a mess. The prof/TA's were constantly confused and didn't know what they wanted from us. The group project had nothing to do with the content of the lectures. Just poor planning and execution of the course. Was not a "hard" course but would not take again with this professor
Not a bad professor overall. She was an easy grader for assignments, or possibly TA was. The midterm was fair, but the final was harder with more questions. Attendance was basically mandatory since quizzes were password locked at the end of lectures. She gave no guidance on exam format, so overall she was okay but had some trust issues lol
Professor makes the course a confusing madness for both students and TAs. Professor creates quizzes with passwords so you must attend lecture, assignments are confusing and tedious with bad groups/lab section. TAs made the course interesting. Get ready for her to say one thing for it to be another thing for exams.
The course is well designed, and teaches an important topic, the course project is unique, simulating project development and management of real software product with cross-team interaction. The midterm was fair. Would definitely take more courses with the professor and recommend taking this course with her.
Terrible professor. The course is boring with no midterm prep or clear expectations. Weekly mandatory quizzes, disorganized midterm and assignments. She said we wouldn't need pens or paper, but we did. Labs are useless but easy marks. Avoid her at ALL costs.
Labs are completely unrelated to the midterm/final, the professor didn't even say what to expect on the exam. It doesn't even say how much each are worth. Lectures are not worth going to, but she has a in class quiz.
Terrible. TAs confused, prof treats the course like it's the only course all her students are taking. Midterm on a Saturday, attendance in lectures, labs are a joke. An assignment worth 10% is not even on the syllabus, TAs confused there too. Final assignment is a full class coding project that the professor must be delusional to think will work.
