Eletromech student at Humber College here (Visual Basics ATMN 220, C++ ATMN 253). Mehrdad has an interesting charisma and humor. Some see him as too serious and some others feel targeted in his classes. However nothing further from reality. I think he's a professional, formal and, overall, fantastic teacher.
Professor Tirandazian is solid in teaching the concepts but if you have a question, you'll have to learn how to tolerate his tone, which might come off as somewhat aggressive, but you could say that's just how he shows his passion and care to answer students' questions. Old school prof that goes into a lot detail in the lectures.
He's a great prof! Truly cares about his students and is very fair when it comes to grading. Is always willing to help with and answer emails right away. His lectures did get a little boring at times, but still very good. He goes into great detail about theory but gives great resources on how to apply it.
he has a thick accent but hes very clear in what he expects and tells you what you need to study. He also records lectures and uploads all his notes which makes studying at home and for tests alot easier. overall a very smart guy and straight to the point guy
he is the best, he describes everything really well, easy to understand
He knows what he talks about and very clear about the content of the course. Materials are very detailed and explained in the lecture notes. Infact I enjoy the lectures and he is open to discussions and questions and answers. Great experience!
It seems that other people think of him highly for other courses, but for the Software Testing course he does a poor job. He just reads off his slides and adds nothing to them. Standard affair for sub-par courses at Ryerson taught by sub-par professors. You could either read the lecture slides at home or read a book and do equally as well.
Professor Tirandazian was great. He taught CPS 213 and 310. Lectures can be boring at times, but make sure to take good notes. Everything he writes on the board is fair game for midterm/final. Office hours are really helpful. Ask a ton of questions and review previous class material for sure.
Mehrdad is a gem. At first, he was very intimidating as a professor. However, he seemed to have warmed up as the course progressed. I struggled a lot with programming in high school, and he helped me succeed and appreciate programming with a fresh start. Explains concepts crystal clearly.
Good guy, as far as hes concerned. Just do your work and he will bless you, god bless the mighty lord and saviour Tirandazian.
