Konstantinos Derpanis

If you are an engineer and you have the opportunity to take a class with this professor, you would be stupid not to. They are the best professor I have had in my academic career. They teach well with amazing examples and they have relevant and current research in the field. A standout professor you cant afford to missout on.

An amazing professor.

Kosta is one the the best profs you will ever have. He makes sitting through a two hour lecture a joy. I took CS in Gr11/12 so a lot of the content was review for me. Even going through material I already knew was interesting because of the creativity, effort, and passion that he puts into every lecture. I wish that every prof was like Kosta. <3<3

Papa Kosta is one of the best profs in the comp sci dept. Lectures ppt's are really well made and presented. He's really good at engaging with the class and getting everyone interested in the topics. Clearly explains all topics with examples and will always answer questions. Really helpful outside of class, and cares about you. Would take again.

Kosta 4 life. His lectures are amazing and really interesting. He reads off powerpoints but does it in a way that's fun and engaging. He occasionally tells jokes and they are always hilarious. Literally the best prof I've ever had. G.O.A.T.

THE BEST, EVER. PERIOD. He literally cares so much for students to succeed, you will notice it from day one of the classes. Even if you come from no prior background, he'll make the course material seem so easy with smooth transitions to every topic. Kosta is literally THE best prof I've ever had at Ryerson, hands down.

Kosta is life, Kosta is love. Lectures were very interesting and informative, and I already knew the material as it was Grade 1112 CompSci for me. The textbook (Big Java) was actually a great way to review material unlike my Calc textbook and his office hours are a blessing. Anytime you need a hand or got a question, he is quick to help out!

Great Prof, Just go to lectures and do the readings and you should do really well!

The real shocker is that he gives you an intuitive sense of the topics but does not prepare you well for the midterm. It can be hard because midterm and final questions are taken from other places online. They make no sense but he bell-curved the final.

Really great professor. Can't say more than that. He had creative slides, and interesting ways of making the students learn. He was always approachable after hours. The midterms, assignments and exams were easy. It is an easy A+ if you've ever done programming before.
