Great prof! Sad to see him finally retire, it was a true privilege to have learn from him and his experiences with different cultures. Lectures were interesting, not the smartest with the computer but still a really intelligent easy going prof.
Outstanding professor. I have never seen a class of students so engaged, interested and driven to participate and learn. Dr. Barcsay is an asset to Ryerson and I hope he continues to teach this course.
in my 3 years at ryerson, he's definitely one of my favourites. there's a real sense of community in his classroom as he's very easygoing and personable. a brilliant man, i actually looked forward to his lectures and probably went to his class more than any other class ive enrolled in. very sad he is done with ryerson.
Funny and easy-going professor. Unfortunately he's pretty much clueless when it comes to technology (i.e. playing movies in class). No midterm in his class so you may not even know how you stand in the class going into the final exam.
Barcsay is an excellent professor. He is smart, interesting, and very clear. I learned a lot from him. Though once he erroneously told me Antony and Cleopatra was not a Shakespeare play after I had stated it was. I wish I had reproved him, but did not.
Great professor in general. Interesting lectures and not to bad of a work load either. Not to easy, but definitely not tough when it comes to marking. All in all a worthwhile course
AMAZING! Brilliant lecturer and teacher. I had a fun time in his class. He doesn't seem to give marks higher than 85% but still worth taking this class with him. Exams are based purely on his lectures so make really good notes...Bring a laptop if you type faster than you write.
Pronounces his a's as o's. (ex. poss, closs, donce)
An amazing prof and interesting course. If you attend class, you will be fine. Take notes during lectures.
Great Prof! Is usually pretty swamped with students, but usually can spare a few minutes to chat about topics in class.
