He thinks he is a know it all. Very arrogant. Swears at students that disagree with him. He was let go by TMU for the same reasons. Google him before you take his class.
He doesn't understand boundaries. I'm glad he was fired by TMU. Profanity at students and insulting others is a common theme.
Rude, self important, and very talented for stating the obvious.
Dr. Norrie is an amazing prof. He doesn't use a dry textbook to teach this course. He uses creative and involved examples of IT related legal issues and keeps the class engaged by involving them in these examples. His TA does the marking but she's fair. He's a very approachable and accommodating prof. I would def rec. taking a class w/ him.
I took a Project Management course with him. The most arrogant person I've ever met. Extremally entertaining but upon further examination - quite superficial coverage of topic. Provokes debates for the sake of showing off. Very disrespectful. If your idea of learning stops at having fun and being entertained - he's your prof.
Great Professor he gave a lecture portion on Social Networking and the use of social utilities! Makes the best jokes and you can actually pay attention and enjoy class!
Everything I know about this man is his goal of making himself look good in the university, and in the press. This reflects in his behaviour is class, which is "look at me and see how wonderful I am". Should be Director of the School be teaching the EASIEST course. I think that is so telling. Does he teach any course on the technology?
Ryerson is seen as a joke by many bc they have guys like this teaching IT Regarding IT and the facebook fiasco that took place at Ryerson he says "This isn't really an issue of Facebook or technology, this is about whether people want to be responsible for their behaviour no matter where it occurs, how it occurs, when it occurs."Back to the dark ages
Well I hated the program with a passion and switched out the first chance I could, but the one bright spot I can remember was this man's class. He is an awesome professor.
