Dr. Tulio-Pow is one of the most unreasonable profs, with no room for accommodations unless you go through the entire official paperwork and formalities with the university, which only adds to stress. Does not teach with empathy, and only focuses on the course material, which there is a lot of, instead of enriching students learning.
By far one of the worst and the most useless fashion courses I took here at Ryerson. I think a master's academic level should be taught to people who choose high education and not make this course mandatory. Not only that but she's so structured and not flexible with her deadlines or her marking. Take this course with the other tutorial prof.
This class is absolutely useless. Its mandatory course on how to writing a research study. Doesnt matter if you have no desire to write one because its mandatory. It was a waste of my time and money. She grades it like the study is real and not theoretical. And the assignments are massive for a non studio course.
Sandra deserves the world. While monotone, still cracks some jokes, is an entertaining lecturer. Very lecture heavy, but what isn't in the lecture won't be on the exams. Not the easiest class, but not the hardest. Goes fast, sometimes repeats what she's already said, but nothing too bad.
Very unorganized and hard to take notes, her voice is very monotone and make's it difficult to keep interest. Can be rude when you ask for help.
Sandra is nice enough but I find her very hard to learn from. She has a relaxing "grandma-like" voice that puts you to sleep and is hard to follow! I find her lecture slides don't always match up to what she's saying and it's really hard to take notes. She doesn't require attendance but you NEED to get the material from someone or you won't pass
Although Sandra is nice, she is an absolute bore. She has no variation when speaking and it makes it hard to follow along, not to mention the lectures are tedious and it can be really hard to keep interest. Unfortunately, she's a mandatory prof.
Sandra is fantastic. She always gives clear examples of what all textiles are used for, and repeats their properties so that they're buried in your mind for tutorial and tests. I can see how some believe her voice is a little monotone, but you can definitely sense the passion in it.
AMAZING! She is so passionate when she speaks. She's concise and precise. She's a fair marker, not hard or easy, she gives you an opportunity to improve on your work (resubmission).
