I really enjoyed having Ms. Kelly as a teacher! her critiques are thorough but she gives good feed back and tries to help you work through the problem.
I found Prof Kelly to be very knowledgable and helpful. She isn't an easy marker for sure, but if you attend class and put effort into your work, she will recognize that and help you when you need it.
Ms. Kelly has a knack for providing context for design decisions. She'll often compare her training to what we are being taught, to really explain that there are many different ways of achieving a particular design, and that trends of the period are also important. She spent hours helping me with my drafts, and I passed the course thanks to her.
When it comes to being a professional in her field she might be but she has not sewn much of what she pattern drafted so questions about construction or techniques are not things she can give good answers to. Often if not always directs the student to the textbook, never tries to figure out the solution to the problem with them.
This is a professor that tells you to google whatever I didn't know. Need I say more?
Terrible professor. It's amazing she's not fired yet! Her class is a total waste of time and criticisms are harsh and unhelpful
Key to doing well:reference textbook,be polite/civil/mature,attend class for attendance grade, notch patterns well, speak with confidence during appointments. What to avoid:giving any inclination you aren't paying attention(she will choose to see the most random of things), get it right the first time. Goodluck. Some will need it.

Altogether unhelpful, especially if you actually need it. Where other teachers will mark you on what you did, she will look for the one thing you did wrong (by her training, but not necessarily by actual standards). You'll do fine if you can sound like you know what you're talking about and notch everywhere possible, with no credit to the prof.
