Professor Brennan is generally engaging, though can be blunt at times. His classes cover content well, but the exams can be tricky. Using Unstuck AI and the free textbook helped me stay on top of the material.
Overall rude and condescending.
He fails you on your paper installations if you don't do it perfectly the way he does it in his outline, and will still pass you at the end of the class with a B just to fk with your perception of the class. He wraps his reports in a separate software so it's very unlikely you will get the same results in word. all around terrible prof. lol.
This was by far the worst professor I've had in my 7 years at two universities in 2 programs. He is incredibly discouraging and rude. He comes across in all communications as condescending and almost- disgusted at having to tell us certain grading criteria and expectations. Totally unnecessary.
not really sure how he has a high rating. i found his class pretty tough even though the content itself was not too hard to learn. not very accommodating to students who dont understand concepts the first time round. if i did not have to take his class for credit, i would have dropped. tough grader. a tad condescending.
Brennan is the best! I learned more about stats with him a few months than I did in my entire university career. Pay attention in class and follow what he says, you're solid. Doesn't try to throw any curve balls or make you buy useless textbooks. Inspired my interest in econometrics.
Overall decent prof. No textbook but the slides are confusing. The only real practise you can do is from the practise questions he provides from previous exams. I found them not enough to prepare. Midterm was fair but final was a nightmare. They're both 50/50 so if you screw up on one, goodluck! Your best bet is to memorize how to do the questions
Amazing professor. He hates textbooks because they are a scam, he posts all of the information online. He is quite clear about the tested material, and provides previous exam questions for practice. His lectures would generally end 15 - 30 mins early. Takes up any questions in class. Definitely the best microeconomics teacher if you have the option
Brennan is a good teacher, he's great at teaching and all but the thing that sucks is that he doesn't give any other opportunities to bring your mark up. the exam and finals are 50/50 so you need to grind really hard. Also, he does not BOOST or BUMP marks :( Also, studying off his slides were Never enough !!!
such a nice one, take his ecn104, explain everything to you, and take up the question on every class, great choice
