Professor Roberts Fiati is extremely passionate about CLD 332. She is a wonderful teacher and engages students in discussion. I would definitely take another class with her again.
Quizzes every class - poorly worded, most people don't do well. Marks really hard - feedback isn't clear. Instructions for assignments are not clear. Asking for clarification will only make you more confused. Takes a really long time to mark assignments, and upload the marks. Avoid taking a class with this prof at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally wanted to drop the class right after reading the opinions about this prof online. MY friend convinced me to stay, to say the least everybody dreads the class. Quiz every class, off the readings. Instead of a lecture there's a discussion of the readings and a 45 min student presentationproject. Your on your own. Quizzes are unfair.
A lot of students did not like this prof. It is true that she is often late, unhelpful, and does not answer e-mails in a timely manner. HOWEVER, if you do the readings and study, you will do fine. Her powerpoint summarize the readings which is also helpful, so I recomend going to class.
There are a lot of components along with this course. You have to do 2 tests, 1 quiz, 1 midterm, a 50 min presentation and then 5% for participation. She's not a mean or bad person, but definitely not the greatest teacher. She's not clear and is often confused.
always late, unhelpful and confused 99% of the time. The tests were unfair and affected our marks.
worst prof ever. so unorganized, cant speak english which reflects on her tests which are so hard to do. never emails back no help at all. our entire lecture failed a test because of her poor wording on a test. she needs to be fired asap!
I feel bad because people are really rude to her. but she is aways late, the tests are multiple choice but the questions are so complicated, and the presentation we had to do had hardly any guidelines ( the presentation is supposed to be 45 min but cut to 20 due to the fact she was 30 min late to the tutorial)
I've been in her class twice. she is usually late for majority of classes. first day of class and shes late 40 minutes. she flops in unprepared and leaves to go to her office for course outlines, by the time she came back, the whole class had waited for an hour. soon after, her cellphone rang... her lecturing method will put anyone to sleep
