Susan Howson

She seems to come of as nice but she is very intimidating, her lectures are more like a group therapy session as she makes everyone discuss. Her lectures are long and boring because she drags everything. I had to drop this course because she gave too many readings and the lectures were no help but its for participation marks so you have to go.

The lecture is only 10% related to the reading. But the exam is 80% related to the reading. Guest speakers are often invited to give lectures but they are not related to the course topic. Groups to discuss in each class to kill time. I don't know why such course content is a required course for minor majors.

Susan was a nice and caring person. But her teaching methods were old-fashioned, and she promoted her coaching business so many times that I felt uncomfortable. Her class was boring, and she was unorganized. Also, assignments were unclear and without direction.

This class was so chaotic. Susan is a very caring person, but her classes were more like a therapy session than an academic course. She promoted her coaching business an uncomfortable number of times and made every person talk each class. Nonetheless, she was an easy marker and her tests were super easy. Easy course to pass but just brutal.

This professor made such an uncomfortable learning environment. The way she has spoken to students are very condescending and has made passive remarks whenever anyone has brought up a point or view that is opposite to hers. I feel that I wasn't able to learn anything from this course because of her teaching style.

Classes were brutal. Her teaching style is out of date. She tries to push her coaching business close to every class.

Susan is one of the best profs I've ever had. At first I was very intimidated by her, but throughout the semester she proved herself to be a very caring person. She will go above and beyond to help her students. Yes, her assignments instructions are pretty unclear, but its because she wants to give you flexibility. She's an easy marker too.

I hated and dreaded this class because the professor. She doesn't care about students and if you understand the instructions of the assignments. She blames students for her own mistakes. She never opens the assignment drop box until days or weeks later. She barely teaches anything in class, seems like she doesn't know what she's teaching.

I hated this class. I wish I had dropped it when the semester started. The instructions she gives for the assignments are so confusing and no one ever knows what to do. She forces you to speak in class whether you like it or not. She takes forever to respond to emails and she never opened the assignments drop boxes on the day an assignment was due.

Susan has as much idea as you do when you take this course. Assignment instructions were extremely unclear with no direction whatsoever. She takes weeks to respond to your emails. The amount of work you do for participation is unfair and she forces you to speak in class. I found her an easy marker but this class was not worth it.
