She literally was the worse prof I've ever had. So rude, and didn't specify what she was looking for in our weekly assignments. If you get her, SWITCH OUT. I asked for clarification on her marking and she opened the email and told me to look at d2l. She marked my paper incorrectly and told me it was minor and was not going to change mark.

For context I am a straight A student. I've never had to work harder then I have for this class. She assigns a ridiculous amount of work including long weekly questions. Lectures are completely useless towards your grade. Gives no grading criteria. Provides poor feedback and refuses to support students who reach out. My entire class disliked her!

Does not give clear guidelines. She will not even consider adjusting grades that you think were unfair. Provides minimal feedback and takes off a ridiculous amount of your grade for small things. Avoid

Where do I start. This prof has the worst attitude any prof could possibly have. Is not there for her students and does not clarify guidelines. She will take off marks for a missing period or a synonym to the exact word she is looking for YET does not even proof read her own assignments that she assigns. so much for a language prof...

I honestly believe that all the positive reviews are fake, I can definitely see her ego getting hurt from reading bad reviews and submitting a bunch of good ones to up her rating. Especially since it's so repetitive (here for her students, passionate etc). Worst prof I have ever had fr, we don't even try with her anymore we've given up.

Roma is very passionate and knowledgeable about language development. Yet she is an extremely hard marker for simple assignments. Not clear, and constantly contradicts her self. Avoid if not mandatory.

She doesn't proofread her work but then takes off marks for not putting a period at the end of your sentence for a fill in the blank assignment each week. She also contradicts herself and says not to do word for word from her document but when you paraphrase she takes away marks because you didn't write it her way. never would get 100%.

Ironically bad at proof-reading her own work for a language prof. There's really nothing nice I can say; she is very unclear in what she wants from you and does not answer questions when you ask for help. She takes off marks for very silly reasons and will absolutely not reconsider your grade even if you bring up valid arguments. Rude & bad prof.

I had high expectations because of all the high ratings. BOY WAS I WRONG! She is the toughest marker ever! half the people in course (myself included) dont get what she wants, like she wants our answers to be SO precise yet we cant cite too much. I can write a whole essay on how bad she is. (would rate her negative if i could)

All of you giving her a good rate 4 or 5 are delusional or never took her class for long. Tough grader bcuz too many specific demands that weren't asked of us in her guides. She doesn't give proper feedback its vague and doesnt help you improve even when emailing her and asking. Sure, passionate but help your students improve!! Chile, anyways so.
