David Martin

He is very knowledgable in the subject and willing to help his students. His clicker quizzes were very helpful as well. You have to show up for class as these quizzes and additional practice questions are helpful for the final exam.

Helpful, caring and understanding. Explains in more depth if you need help. Read the textbook before class for the clicker quizzes. Easy marks. Don't just study the slides, study the textbook for an easy pass for the exam. Know the operations of different departments in hotels well, helps if you work there. One major group assignment.

During Revenue Management, Dr. Martin will sometimes host the simulation. BE AWARE! Do not take his advice. It will ruin your performance. The times I did the opposite of what he said, those were the times my hotel performed the best.

Nice teacher but kind of a hard marker on the assignment. Took his course in 2004. Just have to keep asking him questions on the essay. He'll go over the essay and tell you what you need to work on. Love him as a teacher.

Remember, TA's mark, so don't take everything out on the Prof. But Martin is somewhat of a nice and helpful guy. He and Muchnick "co-lecture" together sometimes and it's quite entertaining watching them fiddle with technology. When Martin is lecturing, prepare to doodle.

he taught me last year n failed my assignements, he is a very hard marker n he was very mean, but now that he is the director of the program, he became extremely nice n helpful, u can talk to him with problems n ask for advises, he's a very warm hearted guy, but no matter how nice he is, he's a hard marker after all, he doesn't give out part marks

Great Prof. Know what he's talking about. Just make sure you ask him alot of question especially for the assignments. He'll edit your assignments for you to make sure you get everything right. I love to have him again.

great professor who knows what he is talking about. ask him to edit your essay drafts, it is very helpful and will guarantee you a minimum grade
