The only Prof that kept my interest enough for me to come to every class. Honestly this women is brilliant but what stands out most is her spirit. Never a dull moment in lectures. Obviously she is very demanding and does not post notes but go to the lectures and you will do fine.
Very nice lady and super witty, if you have a passion for philosophy I don't doubt you'll have an amazing time. The concepts are extremely difficult to understand. Don't recommend if you don't have a passion for philosophy or looking for an easy A.
At the beginning , you may really not like her. Doesn't use power points and uses old teaching techniques i.e. overhead. But, when it comes to marking, she's great. you could go into a test feeling like you'll fail and come out with a B! All quizzes are open book, essay str8 forward. Super funny in a weird way. MAKE SURE U READ EVERYTHING IN READER
Best professor ever! To succeed you need to go to class and listen carefully to everything she says. She posts no notes online. But on the bright side, you'll actually want to go to class. She adds so much life to every lecture. Not just your typical boring philosophy lecture. She's such an amazing and inspirational person.
She is my favourite prof I have had yet. She really knows what she is talking about and I find it a pleasure just to attend her lectures to hear what she has to say. There are not that many assignments and she will give extensions if the whole class agrees. She is extremely helpful and a pleasure to talk to, best prof at ryerson!
Elizabeth was an awesome professor. Certainly made the most out of her lectures and has a strong passion for the content. Doesn't use powerpoint or slides but gives you all the material that you need to be successful.
If you leave this class without a clear understanding of the key concepts needed to pass the exam... you probably just did't attend lecture.
Betty was one of my favourite professors. She was an exceptionally easy marker, the midterm was open book and the final exam was a take home. I got a great mark in her class because I attended lectures, which is pretty much required as notes you take in lectures are important for the essay and exam! I would most definitely take her class again.
Betty is an old school teacher & what all professors should be. A true desire to impart knowledge - no matter the cost or faculty PC matters. She cares about what you learn from her & will make time to clarify anything you have questions about. Forget the world of 'letter grades'. Go to learn. I'm lucky to have met her before she retires.
Betty is an amazing prof. She is so energetic and spunky and even though her material can sometimes be very dry she keeps everyone engaged. Going to class is key to be successful, but by the time you leave you basically know what is on the exam, and she gives away ideas for essays as well. If you can take her class take it!
