Jurji Leshchyshyn

Very hard marker and looks for very particular things in assignments. Very few descriptions in course outlines. Got to really pay attention to succeed.

Definitely has traumatized me lol, he's your old-fashioned "killer-professor" and sometimes just would disregard everything you've done for the day with terrible remarks.

Jurji seems to impose his ideas and designs on his students. He does not seem passionate about teaching. He does not listen to or address his student's ideas and creativity but instead disregards them and then questions why you made your choices. He would then proceed to passively say you can do whatever you want. The energy in the class was sad.

During my seven years at Ryerson University, Professor Leshchyshyn is by far the most condescending and worst professor I have ever had. He designs your projects and then passively says to not do them. I have never physically cried so much in a class as in a class like Jurjis. I went to class last week, and only I showed up because people cried.

Professor Leshchyshyn is one of the most uncoordinated professors I have ever had. For someone who gives almost zero guidance, he sure is a tough grader with a lot of expectations that are unclear to the students. He should consider being more prepared to elaborate on important details on assignments and respect the opinions of his students more.

To future students that have him as studio prof, empty out a wall from your home to put your "Bad" drawings because he is going to say "Put a date on it, pin it on the wall and leave it", "rethink the whole thing", "restart the project" "premature", "seduced", etc... every single lecture. You will have continuous headache for the whole semester. GL

Jurij is incredibly inconsistent with what he wants from the students. He expands on minor details that are not mandatory on the project. From a floor plan to a sun path, into space and "whatever". "Stop getting hung up on your designs, think of the bigger picture." Good luck, and good bye.

Can change moods with in seconds and be brutally harsh to you work.

He is the worst prof that you can ever imagine. Group assignments were extremely difficult and takes a lot of planning beforehand. Highly unrecommended!

gives us a month for a project, & 3 days before deadline he begins to change requirements. he is super old school, made all of studio DRAW their orthographic drawings when realistically people make the digital drawings first yet we aren't allowed to make digital drawings on CAD even though that will be the expectation for the next semester
