Amazing, enthusiastic, old-school professor. He outlines most of the information specifically in class that will be on the midterm and final. The multiple choice correct answers are RARELY ones that go something like "a or b", "all but not c" "none of the above" it is mostly always one of the top answers that is a legitimate concept.
Doesn't post any lectures slides online, therefore class attendance is mandatory. Lectures are heavy and unnecessarily highly detailed. The textbook and field trip are mandatory because midterm and exam are heavily focused on those. Essays are not marked by him but by his TA's (they're difficult markers). Would not recommend this class.
Although his lectures are very engaging get ready to write down everything he says. Cause this guy will put random sh*t on his tests. You will need to know very little detail from the lectures, the notes, the field trip and the textbook (which he made so you'll have to buy it).
AVOID not a Bird course . The prof is good and knowledgeable but we have to read 40 article for midterm and 40 article after midterm. Midterm was hard . In final exam , 90% of the exam was based on Rama trip . 10 % came from the course reader. Plus you have to make class notes since he dont Use PowerPoint. 35% for midterm, 30% essay 35% final.
this prof is hilarious. he loves what he is teaching and it shows. although he still uses overhead and notes from 2005 he means well. his midterm is difficult but essay allows you to make up marks. take this course if you want an engaging prof
I do not recommend taking any class taught by this professor. Not only does he still use an over head projector but he also does not update marks (until the final week of school), does not give our rubrics not assignment sheets and does not upload ANY content onto D2L. He is up close and makes you feel stupid in class as well. Set up for failure!
Attendance is mandatory and his exams can be very difficult. However, I found him to be a great prof. He would come to the lectures with the mindset of equipping us with the life skills needed in order to succeed. He has a strong emphasis on participation and although unnerving at first, it really does improve your speaking skills and confidence.
This professor really irked me. He preaches about innovation and yet he still uses an overhead to teach. He NEVER posts on D2L (go to class for your notes), is VERY up in your face in lectures, when he asks a question and you don't know the answer he will make you feel stupid, and is too picky about projects.
He's actually not as bad as I expected. He talks a lot about Trump. He doesn't post anything on D2L so you have to go to class to take notes. His textbook is a reader with a compilation of articles from various years, no joke one of the articles was dated in the 90's. Pick your group members wisely, the group essay is a grade booster.
No textbook. If you prefer take notes, you should go for that class. Skip his class, make your life easier.
