Her classes were very boring. She basically read from the slides and that's it
The professor was very kind and approachable and gave helpful hints during lectures. However, the midterm and final were a bit tough to prepare for since there weren't many practice resources. That said, the course project was marked quite easily, and lectures were useful if you wanted to catch the in-class tips.
Unfortunately if you're taking FIN501 she's your only choice so just be prepared. Group project is super easy and she gives full marks as long as your calculations are correct. Going to lectures is a waste of time. Instead, self-study using the formula sheet she uploads and the textbook questions. Exams are tough and worth a lot.
This is one of the worst professors at TMU and it's unfortunate that she is the only one teaching this course. The course is based on a group project which is fairly simple, midterm and exam which she does not prepare her students for at all. She barely does any math questions in class and does not explain anything, just reads off her slides.
Her exams are doable. The only annoying part was her lack of awareness. She would interrupt the exam time by announcing how much time we had left every 10 minutes (THREE TIMES) so loudly—I kid you not—it was SO insufferable. Some of her exam questions are also kind of irrelevant. I don't know what she was thinking when writing them out.
Just terrible. I did everything I can to get a good mark. I couldn't. No makeup exams or grade bumps.
Ayse Yuce's class is a challenging one, but using resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and MyLabs can really help prepare for the exams. Just be sure to stay engaged and not rely solely on the slides.
shes pretty good idk why the ratings are so bad she gives u 100 if u follow the guidelines for her assignment and her tests are just mylab questions do them and ur chilling dont listen to the other reviews trust
The lectures aren't particularly entertaining, but Ayse Yuce makes classes super easy to do well in.
