Touch course no matter who's teaching it. Amy's very cheery & certainly an approachable prof. She will try her best to help you. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but she tells you what she's looking for to get part marks. Quizzes & tests were very similar to homework problems at the end of each chapter. Practice the homework & you'll be gold.
Makes a hard course bearable. Classes are boring but tests are ok. Actually got an ease B, never put too much time into the course.
This course is pretty tough because of all the things you must know when doing the questions. That's where students make the mistakes which cost them. I actually failed it with her but passed on the challenge exam. A kind person and she seems to try her best to help her students understand the material, but the course in general is brutal.
She's very polite and sweet..if you go and speak to her..she does her best to try and help you. Course is brutal. Make sure you stay on top of the work!
Amy is the BEST 414 prof in all of Ryerson. Don't listen to other people's comments. My friend had taken this course in a previous semester and had passed on the midterms to me. Amy's midterms are much easier than other professors. She actually tries to find marks to give to students. This course isn't by far easy but if you do your work you'll exc
Do not take any course with this lady! Her aim is to fail students, she prides herseft in that. 60% drop rate. Average mark 40%. I re-did the same course with another prof, got myself a B+. Her fellow prof make fun of her! One even said they would quick their job if their average was ever below 50%, like Amy's!
Don't trust her alligator smile! Very, very unfair teacher. The class average on the final was 55. And what kind of prof can mark someone's final 49.5!?
Very cheerful, easygoing and a genuinely kind spirit :) Though accounting is a brutal class :S
By far the best teacher for acc414. this course is very very hard. Amy actually teaches, unlike a lot of accounting professors who just go though power point slides where you have to learn everything on your own. pay attention during lectures. qualitative is just as important as the quantitative questions. study her slides & know homework questions
Avoid! Not clear enough when teaching...not helpful at all and a hard marker as well.
