If I could take her class again, I really would. The content and material learned were HEAVY, but she made things approachable and accessible. I loved that she recorded her lectures, so even if I attended, I could still use them for studying, it was so helpful. She is SO SO kind! Def requires work but so worth it

Pros: very accessible. participation was made easy through a live system and every lecture was recorded and posted. Cons: LOTS OF WORK. a decent portion of grade came from writing WEEKLY 1-2 pages on readings. There was also an ongoing project with weekly reports and a full on proposal & essay on it. AND midterm and final. barely replies to emails.

Legit one of the best psych profs at TMU. She's so nice, she cares about you doing well. She made a hard class feel doable and even fun at times. If you have the chance to take her classes, do it!

Professor Davison is amazing. A lot of TMU social science/humanities professors seem to let their egos drive them away from the entire purpose of what we do. Carolyn is a fantastic exception who genuinely wants her students to succeed, gives great real-world interpretations and applications of course content, and strives to make learning accessible

Puts a great amount of effort into her lectures and intentions with teaching. Aside from being knowledgable and engaged, she actually consciously prioritizes the goal of students' learning through providing subtitles, recordings, answering all questions thoughtfully and accommodating personal needs.There is weekly required readings for marks.

Carolyn was a very caring and funny prof. Uploaded lecture recordings, gave exam breakdowns and left no questions unanswered. This course is content-heavy but rly interesting, so you need to put in the work and be able to answer s/a on tests. If you follow the rubric, not a tough marker. Not a bird course though, take only if genuinely interested.

Professor Davison is by far the best professor I've had. Not only is she a kind and caring person, she genuinely cares about student success. She posts recorded lectures and the readings were available for free on D2L. She is very engaging and gives detailed assignment instructions. If you have the opportunity to take her class I highly recommend.

Such a sweet and caring professor. Makes the class accessible and truly wants her students to succeed. As long as you put in the effort, you'll be good. I would love to have her as a prof again. She posts all the lecture recordings. She's a breath of fresh air in this department. If you have the opportunity to take her classes, I highly recommend!!

Carolyn was one of my favorite profs ever! I felt like she genuinely cared about students and she made the class very accessible with lecture recordings and anonymous in class participation. If you put in effort, you will get a good grade. Lectures could be a bit shorter, she sometimes goes on tangents but it's nice when a prof is passionate.

The weirdest combination of unprofessional, incompetent, and overly rigid. Lectures were less educational, more her ranting excitedly for 10-20 minutes before telling us none of what she just said was testable. Late in uploading grades and review information, absurdly hard marker, and uses AI to make tests. This prof is bad for your GPA.
