I took MTH719 in previous years but dropped it due to poor teaching. This year, I took it with Prof. Mishima. This guy was a breath of fresh air—great lectures, fast replies, and tests identical to practice. He really wants students to succeed. Thanks to him, I got an A- in an otherwise very hard course.
Professor Mishura is one of the BEST profs for a proofs course. He is a very kind and considerate prof and gives many opportunities for students to do well. His labs and assignments will prepare you well for the midterm and final, plus he drops the lowest lab and assignment. Go to the lectures as he explains concepts very well.
Dr. Mishura is an amazing prof, and MTH 260 was the best class I've taken so far at TMU. Don't skip any lectures, and study as you go. His lectures are very valuable and attending + doing the assignments will guarantee a strong grade. It's clear he's passionate about teaching and wanting his students to succeed is a top priority. Highly recommended
Just one day before assignment deadline, he said there was a typo and need to be modified. And we have to follow the revised form.
Teddy is a great prof. Very knowledgeable on the topic and goes in-depth. To do well in his courses, you have to do the work (assignments, homework etc). The homework represents the exams well, and usually you won't be hit with any gotcha's. The material he teaches isn't something that you should be doing the night before the exam.
Professor Mishura is one of the best professors to teach a proof course. His lecture notes are well organized, he takes time to ensure every question is answered in class and he overall genuinely cares about his students. His tests are all based on his assignments and practice exam so make sure to do them in order to do well.
Best Prof I've had at TMU. If you want to do well, go to all the lectures! Cramming won't work for MTH 260, although it may work for other classes, the course is theory based. You need to understand it, not just memorize formulas and solve equations. I found the lectures to be very valuable and never left confused. Highly recommend this prof.
