Duncan MacLellan

Solid prof. Can be a bit boring at lectures as he reads off the slides basically, but isn't a hard marker by any means.

I absolutely loved Professor MacLellan!! The content may seem a bit dry, but he tries his best to making it engaging. He's very clear about what to expect on the midterm and final - they're a breeze as long as you attend class and have a general understanding of the readings (tbh I didn't even read all of them). Always tries his best to answer qs!

Professor MacLellan was a fantastic professor. His tests are lecture heavy, but if you attend lectures and read, this class is by far an easy A. He was very clear, passionate, and inspirational regarding Education and politics. Although it may seem as "boring", MacLellan managed to make lectures appealing for every student, such as myself.

Fair marker at times but can be subjective for no reason.. nice guy

Really nice prof, his tests are straight forward and he marked the essays pretty easy.

Me and a friend took his course, went to 3 classes, both got A's...hes not an easy marker, but he is very clear, considerate and overall a very very knowledgable professor!

He is awesome. If He was teaching more political course i would have taken it. He have inspired me to minor on my politics. He is very fair in marking but his MC exams are little tricky. If you go to every class no question asked you will very well. Very understanding prof and very respectable person :)

Duncan is so sweet and kind he makes a boring topic like local government and revives it with his fun teaching methods. I actually enjoyed the class who what of thought it!!!

you get marked for attendance.. he's a very sweet, nice and helpful professor.. but the class is incredibly boring! i fell asleep at least 5 times in every lecture. i took this as my elective for retail management.. The only people interested in his lectures were those in the politics program.. readings are a nuisance and they will put u to sleep!

It's not his fault that some people find politics boring. Although Duncan doesn't exactly bring the material to life, he does an excellent job of making you understand the material. He's also incredibly nice and the most helpful professor I ever encountered at Ryerson; goes the extra mile. His classes are worthwhile.
