he was fine. kinda boring overall though. he tracked attendance through quizzes?? odd but okay. his voice was kinda monotonous so it got hard to sit through class as the semester went on. the class itself wasn't hard though
He is a bad lecturer. Classes are boring and I leave more confused on the topic than I was going in. He doesnt use his slide deck, frequently skipping over things but still expects you to know them. If attendance wasn't worth 2.5 a class id say skip and review material on your own time. Just an overall bad class, do not take.
He speaks very slowly and monotone. If you bring up a point in class, he will refute it with his own personal opinion and doesn't give opportunity for discussion. Hard not to fall asleep.
Great prof, incredibly understanding. since the material is pop culture he includes and welcomes references to current pop culture which was lowkey under appreciated. Attend class for easy marks and make sure to submit assignments on time. only reason i didnt get an A was cause I never submitted the autoethnography even though it was fun
I'm typing this in class because the lecture is genuinely so boring. Attendance is graded through quizzes and an in-class assignment. Just avoid it if you can.
Super nice guy, lecture-heavy with parctcipation quizzes. The tests are online, open-book. There were 3 or 4 assignments total, but as long as you show up to class and make half decent notes you'll pass easily.
lectures were not very engaging, but the course was manageable. attendance taken through online quizzes (1 question, very easy). two online open-book tests instead of a traditional exam. if you get a question wrong you'll get partial marks instead of zero. there was a lot of reading, but no textbook was required
prof zielinski was really nice but his lectures were nap material unfortunately. did password locked attendance and 2 open book tests. we had an assignment to go to the AGO which was really fun but other assignments were all in class group ones and he actually gave out 100s then decided to randomly grade the final assignment super harsh lmao
he was fine. he monitors attendance through quizzes which is crazy considering you could not show up and still pass. his term tests were online but some of the questions weren't even based on the slides but on something he said / a video he played. don't think he's a bad prof, but a little boring. big on group work too. not a hard course though.
