This man gave us an 18-question final with only 2.5 hrs. Questions were not simple; they were multi-step and could take over 5 minutes. It says a lot when he has to give a 15% curve. Midterm was equally tedious and time-consuming. If you have him as course coordinator for stats, good luck
The professor is kind, but the grading is very strict and can feel inconsistent. Avoid him honestly.
Attending lectures is crucial for the midterm since he hints at what the focus is on. The final however will throw you for a loop. Relative to the 2025 Exam, there were some concepts that were either not tested equally or were completely new, like integrals on the final exam. Grinding the lecture and tutorial problems should be enough :)
this prof was alright. esp up until the midterm this guy was really good. after the midterm he kind of fell off and took quite long to solve problems. overall hes pretty good
Super nice guy always engages in conversation with the class. At first he could take some time to get used to but after it becomes easy. Teaches lessons then does practice problems in the lesson. Go to his midterm review and final review as I found them very very helpful for the exams.
Nice person and easy course but he is not a good teacher. Its hard to understand what he is saying and he wastes a lot of time in lectures trying to make jokes. Impossible to read hand writing but there are typed out that are posted days after lectures. If you want to actually learn the content I'd suggest you take a different professor
loveee this guy, amazing prof. terrible handwriting but it's easy to follow along during class and he posts very clear notes afterward. clearly cares about the students and helping them understand the material. offers chocolate for participation! soft life all the way!
Took this course for F2025, the midterm was simple enough, and the lab tests and homework were free marks. The only concern about this course is that the exam (which he coordinates) is based on how well students do on the final, as the exam was more difficult. The course overall is simple, but can be forgotten about depending on other course loads
Very genuine guy, cares about his students and makes sure you understand the concepts taught in class
Professor Samuel is a real treat to be around. He genuinely cares a lot about student understanding and is really amicable. His lecture slides are really good at helping you understand concepts and have plenty of examples to help reinforce, plus well-typed solutions. He can sometimes be hard to understand but he's incredible overall.
