I took BLG 315 with him and had a really good experience. He genuinely cares about students and puts effort into helping everyone do well. His explanations are clear, and he creates a supportive learning environment. If you stay consistent, you can do well in this course. One of the best professors at TMU.
Amazing prof who truly cares about his students.
Genuinely a super chill prof. 2 midterms and 1 final are short and to the point, and test on key material from slides and not niche examples. The only issue with this course is the extremely bad lab component, where even the Creative Project is marked like the TAs have hate against ur fam. If he's teaching BLG800 next year, take it.
Absolute goat, go to class and he will help you know what specific topics are tested on. Final exam was today and half of us finished in 45 mins or less with no problem. Weird TAs in labs and exams, but wholesome prof. Didn't like how I was testing beside some stinker with greasy hair though
Honestly makes such a complex course very simple, gives straightforward explanations without any "fun fact" fluff. He teaches what's important and tests only that.
Honestly, an Amazing prof, very clear and honest with his students, tells us what to study and what not to waste time on. Thank you for being the GOAT
Tbh @ 1st I hated this class but he became my fav. He's a new prof & u can tell. His slides r disorganized but clear he tells u EXACTLY what to study for tests. His lecture r boring but he rlly cares about us & just needs time to learn his teaching style. Finally TMU hires a good prof overall I luv Jacopo.Labs were dumb & a mess even TA's were lost
Going into this course I was kinda nervous however after taking it, I can say It went well. Midterms and final were fair and quite easy if you reviewed the material. Professor D'Ercole changed the weighting of midterms allowing for the better midterm to be worth 35% and the lower one to be worth 5%. You can tell he wanted his students to succeed.
THE GOAT OF EVOLUTION! Nice and approachable for questions. Extremely clear about midterm and exam, dedicating a lecture before each midterm and the final to go over testable material. 15 multiple choice, choose 2 out of 3 short answers (3 out of 4 for final). No mandatory lectures, but he expands on slides in lectures making them worth attending.
THIS MAN CAN DO NO WRONG!! Hands down one of the best profs i e had at TMU to date. His exams were easy and extremely fair, and he is extremely transparent about exam content and what is to be expected. Only chaotic thing about this course was the labs… but otherwise he was fantastic!!
