The reviews for this professor are mixed but listen to the bad ones. This class could have been more enjoyable had it been with another prof. Her mic echoed for the full 3 hours, slides have no words so if you miss class you are lost, final assignment is frustrating and extensive, and if you come late she pauses the whole lecture and makes comments

Professor Salole is a genuinely a really supportive and kind instructor. While some of the coursework can feel tedious at times, she is a very fair marker and provides clear, thoughtful feedback. She is also very understanding when it comes to deadlines and is willing to offer extensions when needed, which makes the class feel much more manageable.

A good prof and super kind. Not easy though. She was helpful in office hours and you can tell she genuinely wants you to succeed. A lot of work.

I honestly don't know why Dr. Salole's rating is so low. She's an amazing, caring prof that truly cares about her students and the topics she discusses during lectures. I will say that the group discussions can be a bit tedious and annoying, but other than that, her class is easy as long as you pay attention to the material in the syllabus.

I don't honestly know why she has such bad ratings, she's a great prof, the final exam is take home, the midterm is super easy and the "big" assignment everyone complains about is so easy if you just talk to her, it's simple a matter in putting in the effort, she's super nice as well, this class is free marks. Definitely taking her again.

Pls do not take this prof. Even the final exam she had us cramming in text citations, multiple course material, videos and quotes into a single 500 word paragraph. Every assignment is very dense and just mentally exhausting as she expects you to hit every possible idea/aspect of gender and sexuality. Didn't enjoy or learn from this class one bit.

i dreaded the intersections project, you have to compile research throughout the entire semester towards this project but the topic isnt even vast enough to be doing so much research on. She expects discussion posts every week which is pretty unrealistic, doesn't even respond to emails either. Although she is a kind prof i hated all the assignments

This prof fails to understand that her class is not the only class in the uni. The amount of discussions and reflections on the SAME topic is just ridiculous. (like what more can we say?! 2 more during exams). Words cannot describe how much I hated this class. Never taking this prof again, her teaching style and requirements are absolutely insane.

While Prof Salole was very caring and accommodating, her class was challenging and tedious. Much of your grade relies on how much you participate in discussions that are required to be detailed and frequent (2x plus a week AND replies to peers). The final project is worth 50% and is so confusing to understand. Hoping my GPA won't suffer too much.

Terrible marker, the biggest project wasn't explained enough, and had multiple parts worth 50% and feedback was terrible. DO NOT TAKE.
