A variety of topics related to Architecture. Recommended.
This course became a real favorite. The lectures were engaging and easy to follow, making it natural to stay fully focused and enjoy learning. The city walks and group project added a fun and memorable. The class encouraged fresh ways of thinking and sparked new interests that students are excited to carry forward in their work.
- lecture content is highly flexible and covers a wide range of topics, but often doesn't relate to what is listed on the course outline/syllabus - connections between the lectures and assignments can be hard to see - very positive energy in class, overall the environment was low-stress - assignment rubrics hard to understand
Amazing prof. Lectures aren't very text filled, but more with images that get you to think about the topic, and he is able to teach in a way that conveys the idea through those images. Main assignments were easy, just put the time in and you'll be rewarded.
Professor Assasi is amazing. Fun lectures and documentaries are enjoyable, work load is moderate.
Great professor. Truly passionate about his work and his field. The passion shows in his lectures. Very approachable and always smiling. Lecture material was really interesting, from the latest tech such as AI all the way back to the ancient Persian architectural technology. Lectures are a mix of talking, watching videos, and even a city tour.
Assisi is passionate about his content and the TAs are kind and helpful. The course is not heavy - project/online exam/participation-based Lectures mainly include architectural theory and history - some of the lecture videos/slides can be long - there are some discussions and drawing activities due right after most lectures
