Always late to class but expects you to be on time. Also talks way too much.
Talks forever bro and doesn't even do a good job of explaining projects
The actual course work isn't hard at all, but I seriously can't stand the way that he rambles about sending emails and nonsense semantics for up to half of the entire lecture. You start to lose your mind after about 10 minutes on the same slide. Not to mention his monotonous voice that is like nails on a chalkboard.
not a good teacher at all. he has clear favourites, and if you're not one then he will give you hell. told students to drop the class because of "skill issue". very unfair marking. He does not seem to care for the students. does not answer emails and comes into class late every day and will even leave class early. his feedback is not clear at all.
It not so much that the class was difficult, but the professor is difficult to manage. You feel afraid to ask questions, because if you do you will promptly be sent a link to the poorly worded, vague, “project brief” he cancelled a class for a wedding and forced students to schedule impromptu zoom meetings in order to get their attendance mark.
Had him as a lab instructor with Alex Perlin. Didn't watch any online lectures but got an A. There's quizzes & two big assignments broken into smaller chunks. Fairly easy if you give the project enough time & get feedback to improve work.
He is HORRIBLE, i really don't know how tmu accepted him as a professor, he's always late to class, doesn't help, and doesn't teach anything the other instructors in the other class teach. He lowers tmu's fashion standards. If you get him for any class, drop immediately. The most unprofessional professor ever and will give you zero guidance and help.
Disorganized and inaccessible outside of lab hours (during lab hours; he leaves early and leaves you to figure stuff out for yourself). If anything I would have at least liked to have learnt something. Gives bleak non constructive feedback (ex. "ummm I don't like your aesthetic, change it", "I wouldn't do that", etc.). Avoid at all costs.
I had Michael for design lit and fashion design. He is awful, he's extremely unclear with his expectations, doesn't answer questions or emails, a extremely hard marker and super unprofessional. He would show up 20-30 minutes after class started regularly. If you don't have to take his class, don't. I could go on but sadly only have 300 characters.
