Had this prof in the past, highly recommend taking it with him. He actually teaches/takes the time to explain, truly deserves respect. He uses a touchpad to draw out solutions/ explanations step by step which is more effective than flipping through slides that already have the solution. The hw can be hard, but you have a long time to complete them.
He's a good prof, but the course is graded off of only 4 things, and 3 of them are worth 30% each, so it's kind of hard to redeem any bad grades. He responds to emails quickly and truly wants to help students, but it's definitely a hard course.
Overall the course was not too bad but this prof was awful. He hardly explained anything and even the practice slides he would do them before class and just show the answer. He wouldn't explain everything and would expect us to know it. He would add questions on the test that were not taught in class. Also never gave us any practice tests.
You have to do your homework questions to do good.
I wake up and thank God every day that I passed this class because I seriously didn't think I was going to make it out alive. The professor is amazing and very respected. However, the homework was so hard and l it didn't even help because the exam questions were much easier, so it was just a waste of time.
Dr. Kochhar is a great professor, funny, but he teaches slowly. However, he does explain in depth and answers students questions well. He posts the midterm solutions after he marks them which is good for review. The homework assignments are diff and harder compared to what he teaches/ tests on meaning his exams aren't bad.
Idk who rated this dude good but Im chem smart and this dude exhausted me. I submitted an ACR once explaining a difficult situation in my life and dude showed no compassion in the reply email. Too much homework and pre lab quizzes. How does he have a good rating?
There's a lot of homework, but you get iClicker points for free just by attending class. If you read his lecture notes and work through the problems, you'll be good for the midterm and final.
good professor with good enthusiasm. answers all questions with great clarity. the achieve homework is heavy and is as good as giving a test every week. the method of fill in the blank notes can help with learning key words and concepts through active recall.
Dr. Kochhar is an awesome prof! His lectures are super engaging and you can tell he cares about teaching. He keeps a positive learning environment by calling out disruptive students.
