Shireen Ahmed

I loved Shireen's reporting sports class. She is so respected within the sports industry and she is just a genuinely kind person who cares about her students. Her TAs are quite tough markers but she is fair. I would highly recommend doing well in her class so you can use her as a resource and a potential reference. Work hard and you will be fine.

I loved having JRN512 with Shireen! She kept classes interesting, gave genuine and real advice about the industry and gave helpful feedback regarding assignments. She's always willing to help and ensures you're constantly doing your best as a student. Show up, don't slack off and put in the effort, and you'll do well :))

Great professor and really funny person. I'm not in Sport Media but took this class as an elective and learned a ton. Great content during lectures with some great hands-on in class activities that made learning about reporting sports fun. A lot of smaller assignments which kept me busy, but they were fun to do and she marked fairly easily.

Shireen is one of the BEST professors I have ever had. She's the type of prof who actually cares about her students and will give you honest but helpful feedback. Shireen is actually someone whose work I personally followed before and after having her as a prof and now that I had the honour of being in her Reporting Sports class.
