great prof and she answers questions with plenty of detail. assignments were straight forward and had an easy to understand rubric, she also reserved time before class ending time to answer questions and make sure the students understood the material.
Very kind professor and was supportive in my needs as a student. Wish she would come back and teach at TMU! She made me love and appreciate politics.
No exams and papers/assignments that were straight forward. Her lectures were just little boring. She is not an accommodating professor. I don't know if she changed this, but assignments were due at 5pm for us. Marking is a little hard, barely anyone could get grades past the 70s. She's a nice woman in general but not the most understanding.
Sara Singh is very understanding. Attendance is mandatory for extra credit (10%, totally worth it!) Lectures are okay, but very informational. She lets you out early, sometimes having an online class which is really convenient. All assignments, tests, and exams are online and she is a great marker.
She is very boring to listen to but she is a very good marker. I would not take her course again, she speaks like a politition.
Had her for POL101&102 and would completely recommend. Her slides are straightforward and she often ends class early or cancels class on days when assignments are due. A lot of writing, but she was pretty reasonable with deadlines and extensions. She's also an easy marker and spaces out assignment deadlines.
Kind professor. Clear instructions and clear about deadlines and what she expects of students! Easy marker with fair feedback. Inspired by her!
Sarah Singh reads the posted slides verbatim each lecture, she doesn't respond to emails whatsoever and will give a student a full zero for submitting an in depth assignment just a minute after the deadline. I find it a bit crazy that a prof is fine with failing a student or taking 30% of their final mark for this. She's also quite politically bias
She isn't accessible outside of class, her grading criteria is useless. I don't think she knows what communication or a rubric is. Considering she doesn't use either. She basically just reads off the slides. And she can't keep her bias and political opinions outside of the course. If I wanted to know the opinions of a failed politician I would.
I really enjoyed having Professor Singh for both POL101 and POL102. She is kind and helpful, and I believe she genuinely wants her students to succeed, learn, and ENJOY the class. She often asks for feedback on her own lectures and is open to making changes to improve ways of learning for her students. PLUS class often ends early!
