Never seen a prof walk out in the middle of a student's presentation, how do you objectively grade that? You can walkout halfway through this class and still get an easy A.
Though Daniella was fairly new at teaching, her classes were pretty engaging but are long and a bit boring. The main reason I'd go to her classes was for the participation exercises which we had 2 or more to submit before 11:59 the same day of classes which was pretty annoying. Otherwise she was a nice prof and tried to improve her teaching.
Super amazing person, not the most clear teacher. My class was 100 ppl 3 hour lecture that ended at 9pm so tbh I think it would have been bad no matter who taught it. She was funny and I liked her lectures but she just needed more help in the class bc it was so big and she is new to teaching. I would take a class with her again if it was smaller.
You can tell she's very caring and that she does value her student success and is pretty receptive to student feedback. She tries to help out as much as she can with assignments, and rubrics and such. Unfortunately she's really strict on deadlines and does not take any late assignments.
No, just no. I cannot do this class again. Most painful three months.
Daniella is a kind person but this was the most unorganized class I've ever taken. She steered towards an English class with journals, debates and essays but as a hands-on media program, there was no relevancy to how this applies to our program and how the teachings can be used. TMU give the girl a break, let her teach something in her expertise!
Overall, Daniella is a kind Professor, encouraging student engagement. She referenced film examples within the lectures, that made the class more engaging. However, the class was a bit disorganized and long, and there was confusion with assignment requirements. To much graded reading as well, and little time to write the journals.
I dropped this class (because of the 7-hour class gap), however, my experience with her before dropping out was very wonky. I understand it is her first time teaching, but the lectures are confusing, and a lot of flip-flopping with how she structures the class and the journal entries.
Told me to look it up on youtube when I asked her a question about the content of the lecture....
It's her first time teaching but there's still some inexcusable behavior. She's rude, constantly late, demands journals less than three hours after a 6-9pm lecture, walks out in the middle of debates with no explanation. She also seems understanding of the material. This is a required RTA course we have to endure this pain every monday
