Andrea Lacalamita

Andrea is genuinely so sweet and extremely understanding. She is willing to help you throughout any struggles within the assignments, marks very well, AND records her lectures and posts them!!. Only thing is that her lectures can be quite boring as they aren't as engaging, and are just her talking for the 3 hours. Attendance is also taken in class

Andrea was a great professor, very knowledgable, extremely easy grader, and set clear, easy to understand expectations for every assignment. Only bad thing i can say was IRL500 the lectures were very boring... unless you're really passionate about art and its history. Andrea spoke on and on about art pieces for 3 hours straight...

Having Andrea Lacalamita was amazing! She is very kind and supportive of her students. Her assignments were very interesting and enjoyable! One of the assignments was based on a visit to the ROM. The next one was a follow-up essay. The last 2 are group assignments and a summative! There's weekly discussion posts too. I highly recommend her course!

I loved having Andrea! She's very kind, gives clear instructions and expectations on assignments. Lectures are enjoyable and engaging, due to her teaching style with lots of images, videos, and explanations. There were two group projects and a few individual ones (including a museum visit), which were enjoyable and quite easy to do.

Andrea is the best prof i've had in a while. She is always there to answer questions and she is exceedingly kind and understanding. I suggest if you take IRL200, pick a curatorial theme for the final project at the beginning of the semester and as you go through the slides, look for pieces you can relate it to. This will save you so much time later

Andrea is very helpful and nice. IRL 200 requires an serious interest in textiles and if you are not interested I do not recommend. I got a fairly decent grade with little to no effort and barley attended lectures. The individual assignments are graded critically. If you need help Andrea ia very helpful.

Andrea is an amazing, knowledgable professor. I took this course as an elective not knowing what to expect, but was very happy with the results! The lectures are very interesting and in class workshops are easy to complete. She provides great feedback and you can tell she genuinely wants her students to learn and do well. I would def recommend!
