The class was not that bad. The quizzes were easy as long as you looked over the material before class. The exams are long and final was difficult, but the report is only 10 pages. You need to stay on top of it and come to class.I missed one quiz, but I submitted a acr and it ended up getting moved to the final.
Makes you purchase a textbook he published, which is literally the worst formatted textbook I've ever seen. Final Exam was 120 mc questions in 2 hours but the questions are a paragraph long. Random quizzes so attendance is mandatory.
Forces you to purchases his own textbook from 20 years ago. He requires you to attend every lecture, holding pop quizzes worth 4% of your grade on the days when the least amount of students are in class.
Don't even bother reading the textbook.
Pop quizzes randomly during lectures who does one after a mid term and midterm and finals are crazy long 1 hour for mid term and 2 hours for final questions aren't straightforward all situational based long paragraphs of context insane
This course is a mess. Lectures and textbook useless and add no value. Pop quizzes are random and stressful. Exams are unnecessarily hard, with long paragraphs, not enough time, and don't reflect what's taught. Avoid this class if possible—but if you have no choice, be prepared for constant stress and disappointment.
As much as you should avoid this prof, you can't—he's the only one for this course. He forces you to buy his own textbook, and it's useless. Pop quizzes in the last 15–20 min. Midterm/final don't match slides or lectures; questions are half-page paragraphs. Final: 120 MC in 120 min—you spend more time reading the questions than answering.
The professor gets a kickback from this awful simulation he will make you do, where the results are randomized, and you could potentially get a failing grade due to circumstances out of your hands. Pop Quizzes are scattered throughout the course and are graded harshly. The midterm and Final have long, meaningless questions with little time to do.
