Dr Persram delivered lectures very well and is approchable outside of class if you have any questions or need any clarifications on assignment help or studying. However the TA for this class marked the assignment too harshly. Considering the fact shes never taught herself, i think she needs to reevaluate her marking habits.
One of my favourite professors so far! He is very passionate about the content, which makes lectures engaging and interesting. He takes time to make sure questions are answered and everyone is confident in the material before moving on. Marking felt very fair, and the in-class activities are good for boosting your marks and when studying for exams!
Dr Persram was a good professor. He delivered his lectures greatly; however he is not one of those professors who would help you boost your mark a bit. He is very strict with his marking criteria and wouldn't help even 1%! The chances to improve your mark is very less. Midterm, 1 assignment, 5 weekly in class activity (doesn't help) and the final.
This was one of my favourite courses this semester-- really interesting material and research paper! It is quite text-heavy and requires a lot of studying, but you truly leave with a lot of information on child development. I would totally retake this professor!
Overall professor persram was good and lectures were bearable. He has inclass activities and you don't have to go to all class to achieve full inclass marks as he only takes the top 8 grades from all activities. The marking is quite harsh in my opinion. To succeed make sure you talk to the TA and prof for the assignment as i lost most marks there
Prof. Persram does his best to teach with his voice, so listen. He tries to foster an interactive atmosphere while teaching, which helps greatly lift most classes' boredom. My only critique would be the missing/unclear info on the slides (that you have to be in class to fill in), it can be unfair for students who have reason not to attend. 8.2/10
This class was by far the hardest I've ever taken, which results entirely from the sheer amount of content. I genuinely cannot stress how much content there is so get ready to study. Ryan is an amazing prof but the class was 2 tests of 30%, essay of 30% and weekly assignments of 10% which is not enough assignments for the amount of content.
I like his style of teaching. You can tell he is passionate about the concepts we cover in class, which makes it easy to learn. He is entertaining and allows for a break every hour or so. He is very interested in seeing his students succeed and is approachable. 10/10 would recommend.
I think Dr. Persram is awesome. I came into this class feeling very nervous, but he is very knowledgeable in his teaching and made everything easy to understand. My favourite thing about him is how approachable he is. He answered many questions and even assured me that I did not need to apologize for asking questions, and he answers emails fast.
