Very chill prof. There are weekly quizzes and group assignments due each week, but he is an easy marker and will allow you to resubmit to improve your mark. Highly recommend

The only problem I had with him was that his lectures felt pretty dry from what I remember. That's really my only gripe though. He was super chill, gave good feedback on assignments and exams, and felt like he genuinely wanted us to succeed. Also made the exams and course a lot simpler than usual. Def take him if you can, he's great.

Took his class as a condensed spring MHR405. His slides are bare boned, and the gaps are filled in during the lecture. Midterm and Final were straightforward, no surprise content that was never introduced in class. I'd recommend Dr. Strejcek for anyone taking MHR405.

For a theory heavy course, there isnt alot of writing assignments/projects to boost your grade and you're required to write multiple short/long answers on the exams. Attendance quiz each morning for participation marks + hw but besides that, it's the midterm and final. There isnt much opportunity to increase marks. Besides that, hes nothing special

Alright prof but would not take a class with him because he was kind of boring and slides lacked a lot of information. Also mandatory 8ams for participation marks

He marks very clearly - quizzes on the textbook, mini group assignments that are for completion and participation quizzes that are meant just for attendance. Anyone giving him a 1 star was the people who showed up to class just for attendance and talked during his lectures to say they didn't learn anything. Overall a great prof if you want to learn

I'm pretty sure that all of the 1-star reviews were left by the same person, and they are not accurate imo, as my experience with him was pretty good. He marked pretty fairly and gave good feedback during the in-class participation (you got the grade for participating and didn't lose marks for a thin answer). Feedback helped greatly for the exams.

Amazing prof! Encourages participation, and will give you good feedback on how you can strengthen your answer, which helped for the exams. Slides were a bit thin, but he does elaborate quite a bit in the lectures, so make sure to attend them. He is easy to reach via email and was fairly accommodating. Would take again!

This class is heavy on textbook content, but if you read it and take notes you'll be fine. He is extremely approachable, and is happy to help whenever. Easy participation marks through the weekly quizzes and group assignments. Overall, he is a good prof.
