Lingqian Li

Prof Li is a wonderful professor. I highly recommend you attend her classes as it saves on your study time. She gives several examples for new concepts which is helpful. Also, she provides excellent feedback for you to improve you grade throughout the course. TMU definitely needs more professors like her!

Prof Li is a great teacher! She's funny and caring. Course content was engaging. Textbook readings weren't necessary unless you want to understand better. Participation is a small part of your grade so you have to go to class to get those marks. Exams were pretty easy (if you study) and assignments were clear and not too difficult. Would recommend!

I really loved having Dr. Li as my prof for this semester. I would suggest keeping your PSY411 notes handy

Take this class with this prof. SO much easier than psy411, so do not be scared. She is so sweet and makes content so easy to understand. Homework is short and easy and same with quizzes. Midterm/final were a bit harder but no surprises. You can do very well in this class if you even put a bit of effort.

Ive had her for both CPSY 411 and PSY 511 and I find that she really wants students to understand what goes into the steps of each equation. Tests, quizzes and assignments were all straight forward.

the class is structured very well and the breakdown gives you multiple opportunity to improve your grade. The modules are detailed and easy to follow and Prof. Li is easy to get in touch with through email. highly recommend!

Took this over the summer and she explained concepts REALLY well. Class consisted of tests and assignments (lowest grade gets dropped) and they were straightforward as long as you practice and go over the material. You don't need the textbook, her lecture slides are very detailed. Would definitely recommend taking this course with her!

one of the best psych profs you will ever meet. her lectures are so easy to follow along to, never got lost when she taught. she gives out participation marks every class which is good. her assignments were also easy and quizzes were fair since she gives out practice questions which are literally almost the same as the quiz!

Slides super easy to understand, step by step on how to calcuate things. stuff on tests exactly whats in lecture. don't need textbook. come to class b/c you get little grades from easy "attendance" marks. 5 mini-assignts pretty good if u do it carefully. i dont get the 1.0 ratings but they were posted on the same day so im assuming its just a hater

Somehow the class I was most apprehensive about became the highest grade I've gotten! Ling is such a fantastic prof. She answers emails within 24 hours and sets up her lectures/assignments thoughtfully. She gets you to engage with the material to see how it is applicable to your degree/research. She's THE prof to take stats with!
