Virgilio Valente

I've had him for 2 courses (ELE 302 and ELE 404), and he's probably the best professor I've ever encountered. He's actually passionate and knowledgeable for what he does, and it shows! He cares about students actually learning about the concepts even outside of lectures, and is very fair in terms of exams and marking.

Dr. Valente is an all around great professor. His lectures are informative, clearly laid out, and have a logical progression. His lecture notes are fairly organized and are really useful. Make sure to do the assigned homework/practice problems, as they're directly translatable to the midterm and exam. Double thumbs up for the goat himself.

The courses were very informative and understandable. I took BIOMEMS with him. The final exam were online but still hard to answer. Overall, was a good course.;

Dr. Valente is an excellent professor. His lectures are engaging and it is evident he has a lot of experience with the material as he teaches it very well and answers all questions in a clear way. He is accessible outside of lecture during office hours and is always happy to help explain a tricky concept.
