Julian Zapata

Professor Zapata is a great professor that is highly knowledgeable about translation methods. He provides clear grading criteria for assignments and his lectures are engaging.

He was really nice and sweet and he was a very fair grader. As long as you show up to class and put in an ounce of effort, you'll do well. He can be picky about grammar and stuff but it didn't affect my grade, it was mostly for feedback.

Mr. Zapata is an amazing professor. He makes lectures exciting and hands-on. I gained a lot of experience with different softwares and types of translation. Sometimes he was chaotic with his instructions and/or got excited about a subject and rambled, but he is still knowledgeable and a great teacher.

Monsieur Zapata's lectures were very informational, engaging and interactive. He has a lot of experience in translation and designs his projects in a way that is useful in the real translation world. Very easy to access outside the classroom for extra help or questions. Would highly recommend his courses.

His lectures/whole class were completely useless, he was terribly disorganized, a bad communicator, unprofessional and even insulting, and rambled for hours. I learned absolutely nothing which was disappointing as it's a translation course. He wastes 3hrs going off on tangents, reads from the slides and we don't even learn anything. Terrible prof.
