Probably the best prof I've had in all 4 undergraduate years
nice prof and great lectures. he's very friendly and really engages with students, asks questions etc. you do need a textbook but you can just get a free pdf online. only thing i didn't like is that the group project was assigned randomly, and he has a non-intervention policy so he won't help if there's issues with your group.
I believe Arthur (Li) Liang is one of the better GMS professors out there; he's a well-respected guy, and you can tell he truly cares about his students. Take him as your GMS 200 professor if you can!
You can skip Arthur's lectures since he posts all the slides, and the lectures themselves aren't very engaging. Assignments are easy if you understand the material but his slides are perfect for studying. The Globus simulation uses random partners, so make sure you know your team early and lock in for it. Midterm and final are multiple choice.
Professor Li is great. He tries his best to be engaging even if the material is a bit dull. He cares as well and is understanding of absent teammates for Globus. For the Midterm and final, going to lectures and studying off slides are enough to succeed (it's easy).
Professor Li is a knowledgeable and genuinely invested instructor who creates an engaging lecture environment. The course material is intuitive, and paying attention in lecture means only light review and memorization are needed. Succeeding in the GLO-BUS project (20%) requires independent learning due to the course design, not his instruction.
Arthur Liang is a great prof. He knows what he's talking about and his lectures were fun to attend. If you engage in the discussions you'll get even more out of it. Globus was probably the only difficult component of the class. Teammates are randomized. Material itself is very straightforward. Just study using flash cards and quizzes.
i took 6 years of engineering and computer science courses and never had a better prof than him in my last year taking gms200 as an elective. really cares for his students and drops hints every class about the midterm and final (which are very easy) as well as tips and strategies for globus and is just an amazing guy overall. thank u prof. Li!
Really caring prof and genuinely wants the best for his students. Takes the time to get to know his students as individuals despite a large class size. Course material was easy and the midterm is light. He also usually finishes the lectures earlier than expected which is great
Hes a good prof. Hes very interested in this course and it shows in his teaching methods. Only bad thing id say about him is that he doesnt let u pick ur group mates for an assignment worth 20% of your marks. my grade literally got destroyed because of this and his stupid policy about not intervening with group dynamics. If u get bad group jus pray
