Travonne is a good professor, funny and clearly passionate. There are weekly attendance quizzes, an audio-visual assignment, a quiz, midterm, and final. The content is straightforward, but the tests are still challenging. Guest lectures are useful and show up on exams. Readings are not tested, so they're optional.
one of the worst professors I've had since starting at TMU. the type of professor that does the bare minimum and expects his students to go above and beyond. get ready for lots of readings about the same topic, get ready to have your emails ignored, get ready to waste your tuition money on a course that barely covers abuse. T.A's are useless too
Very formal and brief when responding to sick students. I emailed about being ill and needing an extension, even attaching a voice recording as proof, but was only asked to complete an ACR. I understand professors are busy, but the reply felt impersonal, given the course topic.
His passion for the subject matter was evident in every lecture, making each one engaging and thought-provoking. While he is a tough marker, his detailed feedback helped me improve and understand the material more deeply. Overall, he's an amazing professor who truly cares about his students' learning experience. I would highly recommend his class
Edwards is a really cool guy. You can tell he's passionate about what he teaches and genuinely enjoys interacting with students. He mixes professionalism with fun which makes his lectures super interesting.Looking forward to having him again :)!
He's very nice and helpful, but his quizzes and tests were kind of hard to understand.
Great prof! His lectures are content heavy, but he makes them interactive and interesting. Had guest lectures and class discussions which made the topics easier to digest. Very caring, he brought us Oreos for Halloween. Has clear expectations. The assignments are easy. Had a midterm and final, both online. Overall easy class.
You can tell that he is really passionate about what he does, but the course is very disorganized. We were sent an unofficial course outline that wasn't updated until one month into the course and then two more times after that. This caused a lot of confusion around assignment requirements and final exams.
The prof and the TA made this course terrible. They were very unclear about the assignments and insanely tough markers. Everyone was confused about one assignment since the syllabus said one thing and he completely contradicted it, and after people asked him what to do he told us to ‘just assume'. Everyone is still confused. DO NOT TAKE!
Such a great prof and very understanding. Marks depend on TA's though so hope you get an easy marker.
