Amazing prof, would love to take a course with him again!

Dirk is very kind and shares very insightful feedbacks. He is a great prof, would like to have him as a prof again!

Although Dirk speaks in a monotonous voice, making his lectures slightly dull, his content is very straight forward and the lecture slides contain all info needed to study or take notes after class. In class activities are due every week which isn't ideal, but very doable and are easy grade boosters.

Clear lectures, though sometimes a bit too fast or quiet to follow. All of the content is available online. Lots of opportunities for easy participation marks and the exam review is very straightforward.

Cool name so i like him

Dirk is a nice prof, he just needs to be a bit louder when talking in a hall for 300 people. His voice can also be a bit monotone which makes his lectures a bit boring sometimes, but overall quite interesting course, despite the heavy-ish load. Quizzes were easy, you can get a decent grade easily.

Nice professor, his lectures were clear, and short class time. Very content-heavy course so make sure to read the textbook to prepare for the exams. Communication is key, asking him questions was so helpful because he explained everything so well.

Dirk was nice and he was very good at making accommodations. The course is very lecture heavy and he speaks very quietly. It's kind of hard to hear his lectures so either sit in the very front or do the readings before class because his lectures are based on the readings.

Dirk has an interesting personality and seems very passionate in what he does. He is also very supportive when it comes to answering questions and emailing people back. It was just that the content was very heavy so it was very hard to pay attention in a 3 hour online zoom call.
