This class changed the way I see writing but don't expect an easy A. The prof does provide plenty of feedback. All in all I was able to take what I learned to other classes.

The best prof for this class, especially since it can be difficult with others. Offers bonus assignments for extra marks and allows outlines during the midterm and exam. Often lets class out early, which was great for an 8am. Super nice guy and very approachable if you need help.

I took SSH 205 with Professor Ghaffar and really liked it. The readings, esp Eternity Martis' memoir, were way more intresting than I thought. Prof is super helpful and gave bonus points for meeting a coach. In-class essays were tough but feedback helped alot.

I believe professor Ghaffar did a good job teaching a course that is currently undergoing a total overhaul. I disagreed with a few comments he made in class, and there were often changes to planned assignments, but overall he was accommodating and taught well. I'm grateful for the things I learned and was able to carry over to my other classes.

Hands down one of the best prof for SSH205! He is laid-back and compassionate and wants everyone to succeed. Although he can occasionally be vague with instructions, I advise you to attend all of his classes because you will learn a lot from him. Be advised there are group assignments.

Professor Ghaffar is really caring and sweet. He's super helpful and is always happy to answer questions, whether in class or through email. He responds quickly and makes sure everyone understands the material. Students really appreciate how approachable and supportive he is.

Compared to other professors, he introduces new material after the midterm. For the final exam, we are allowed to bring an essay outline. He is very gentle, always smiling, provides timely feedback, responds to emails quickly, and offers extra mark opportunities.

This course helped me grow tremendously as a writer. My writing improved significantly and I became much more confident thanks to his strategies. I've applied these methods to other courses with great results. More importantly, this course changed how I approach writing overall. He creates a supportive, engaging environment.

He is an easier marker, but not completely an easy A... His lectures are pretty straight to the point, he explains the topic and then the assignment, but sometimes his instructions are unclear. This prof answers to emails, so questions are answered in a mannerly time but all in all he is pretty chill. Would take again.

Professor Ghaffar's lecture's are more like workshops, He introduces new material and then we would work on it. He care's about his students and he takes time every class to help you better your work.
