Dr. Moriarity has improved a lot as a professor from when I last had him. The course was graded primarily off 2 midterm exams, and a final exam, with 3 quizzes for participation to slightly boost your grade. However, he made his exams pretty easy and fair, the lectures were pretty interesting and digestible. Provided good practice questions too.
please grade our marks for the quizes before the final exam!
For a course you have to take during your first year, it was unnecessarily difficult? Class felt like trying to describe colour to a blind person. If you're interested in the human body and enjoy two hour long explanations talking about things you never heard before, it's perfect. If you got bad memory and don't like biology, don't bother. Nice guy
The class wasn't boring, but the professor mostly stuck to his research lane and struggled with anything slightly outside of it. He'd repeat himself a lot and couldn't answer broader questions. Grading is a huge issue, the questions weren't hard, but marks felt random, with no feedback or explanation. Once grades were out, that was it. Pretentious
The lectures were actually engaging for me and I was attentive. As long as you do the work (homework, quizzes etc.) you're fine. Very lecture heavy though and you cannot miss something.
This class is out of 115 points (3 optional assignments, 4 quizzes & final exam). The final exam is worth 50 points (cumulative). He is a great professor but I think his exam was hard considering it was worth a lot and we were only allowed to do 25 questions out of 30 (MCQ, T/F & short answers). I wish he had more questions on the exam.
One of the best classes I've taken, with clear lectures and helpful explanations. The instructor is supportive and provides additional information when needed. I always looked forward to attending. While there's not much homework, I wish the quiz timing was longer.
his course was interesting when he didnt reword the same sentence three times in a row
Not many things to grade of off. Do not only do the slideshow! Do the reading! All the information on the test were from the reading, not one was from the slideshow tbh. Both tests had muhc more in detail questions. The tests were online. Final exam was cumulative, pretty hard. Just know a lot of details about everything. Start studying early.
have him for an online class of ENH220 and his lectures are so long, he is constantly repeating the same things over and over again and struggles to get to the point of certain things.
