Passionate and caring but she just because she reads off her slides. Gave good review for the midterm and bonus marks, however the case studies and infographic were marked strictly and wish she gave a clear grading criteria for those since the marks were taken off for things not really said/indicated on rubrics.
taru is a very sweet and caring prof. i find that she reads off the slides a lot, but sometimes she'll elaborate on concepts and explain diagrams. definitely recommend reading the textbook for more detailed explanations
so sweet! she provided well organized slides, lecture recordings, cheat sheets and even tips to study. she does read off slides but she tries to elaborate when she can. honestly it's biology so reading off slides is inevitable. tests were application based but extremely fair. if you put in the effort you can definitely do well.
As many mentioned, Taru would read off the slides and go really fast, covering a huge amount of content, but would somehow almost always finish early. She answers all questions in class and quickly responds to emails as well. Let us have cheat sheets for the exams. She also recorded her lectures but it was only available for a limited timel
She just reads off from the slide, slides are sometimes heavily packed,
I love Dr. Taru, yes she does speak fast but she explains everything thoroughly and has no problem repeating explanations for the whole class. She is very passionate about biology and she cares about teaching us. She is very respectful and understanding. As long as you rewrite lecture notesand do all the quizzes online the exams will be very easy.
She goes through the lectures really quickly so its hard to understand while you're there. BUT, she gives enough information for notes so when you go back through the lectures, its not too difficult.
She speaks really fast and it's easy to fall behind; understanding the topics requires rereading the lectures afterwards multiple times. Must understand prior lectures or any new topics will just be gibberish.
Conflicted on how to rate her because although she spoke really fast, I think she did a good job explaining concepts. Plus, she records her lectures. The lab portion of this course though, it's a full time job with the assignments and quizzes. Idk if that's her fault though. Midterm/exam are application based, but atleast there's a cheat sheet.
Taru as a professor is really cool. She reads off slides & not a lot is important in classes. Attendance not required but falling behind can be quick. Lectures are speedy & note-taking can be difficult. Finals and midterms were quite heavy. Prior knowledge and textbook reading would be in need.
