Prof. Marcinkowski's lectures could be more clear and organized, but he is a very caring prof and a fair marker. He accommodated me when I was struggling to complete work and for that I really appreciate him.
HE IS AWESOME! He's honestly really fair, actually more than fair. SUPER generous. We basically graded our own work and argued why we deserved it. He has great lectures and explains things well
He's a nice guy, but not the greatest prof. Everything was self-assessed (meaning more work for us) and the final essay was pushed to the very last minute. An essay and an assessment of that essay should not be due the same week as the exam.
You can tell this prof really cares about feedback and tries to do better each and every time. He gives really good advice for future assignments and tells you where you can improve. There's really nothing to worry about for this course as the lectures aren't heavy at all and he goes over them in depth even if you didn't do the readings.
TBH I was nervous to have Adam take over this course after the og 634 prof went on leave. I struggled last sem in his ENG531 class but can confidently say Adam has improved a lot since then. Lectures were much better than last sem in 531 and he even did a better job than the og 634 prof imo. Flexible, down to earth, helpful feedback and a good guy!
Nice guy. Funny, cracks good jokes here and there. Quite accommodating and flexible. Lots of readings that can be difficult. Lectures are his weakest point. Only writes on the chalkboard and it was hard to follow along to take notes. Barely uses D2L. Attendance is mandatory for weekly participation group assignment. Friendly, but lectures need work
I feel bad giving this rating because Adam is a flexible and accommodating professor, however, this class was gruellingly difficult. There were SO MANY readings, and it was EXTREMELY lecture heavy. There are little to no slides, and his thought process was hard to follow, so I never knew what information was important. The mid-term was brutal.
Nice and funny guy. Will be giving extensions. I felt like I had poor hearing skills because he talked very fast during lectures. He writes on the board super fast and I had a hard time understanding what he even wrote. There are a lot of readings and group discussions. Kind professor but a tough grader and his teaching style should be considered.
Absolute worst prof I have ever encountered. He is very passionate about what he teaches, but not at a level where it helps students. This felt like a volunteer ted talk. No lectures, just scribble on a blackboard that you can barely read. You basically teach yourself, it seemed like he was not at ALL prepared to teach this class. STAY AWAY!!
Adam is pretty fun and personable. He is down to earth, accommodating, real and gives good feedback. He is always open to talking about the course and assignments. His lecture style can be a bit difficult as he mainly uses the chalkboard, doesn't write everything and can bounce from topic to topic. Nice guy, lectures could be better. Reading heavy.
