This class is what you make it. Do the work and you'll be fine, you only really have to lock in for in class assignments, midterm and final exam but the textbook is so straightforward that if you dedicate a few days for reading and taking notes you'll probably ace it. I could've done better but had to prioritize other exams. I don't get the hate
Two tutorials were hard. Dry material, the exam never match what were told in class
The course is very dry, and its normal for students to resent the prof, but she's helpful and goes out of her way to explain things. I've seen her extend quiz times and provide laptops to students for the tests/quizzes. Content is straightforward, it's just a matter of reading and memorizing. Highly recommend the EOC quizzes under "Connect Section"
A very nice professor, provided you are respectful to her. She will go out of her way to explain things if you ask. Does she just read off her slides? Yes. She also ends class early when possible. Is it mandatory to come to her class? Yes, there were attendance things to do. Would I take her classes again? Yes.
Her lectures are super quick because she goes through the slides so fast and adds no extra context. She's a very average teacher, but grades tough. Attendance is mandatory. Stresses the textbook which is a very hard read.
Truly unfortunate how low her rating is, she makes getting a good grade very easy and attainable. She is very accommodating and willing to help outside of class. Yes attendance is mandatory but it's truly not the end of the world, the course itself is pretty easy as the content is very straightforward. If you do your work, you'll have no problems.
Its not a hard class. It's just reading the textbook and memorizing the definitions. I would recommend using the McGraw-Hill quizzes (not the weekly quizzes) for each chapter before the exams. She speeds through the slides, but honestly, I prefer that. I can't imagine staying in class for 3 hours to learn this stuff.
Pretty easy course, lectures are pretty boring and monotonous yes but they aren't the worst thing in the world and they often end early. Pretty easy to get a good grade tbh
This prof is quite knowledgeable in certain sections of this course. For example, when one asks for an example and a deeper explanation, she goes further in depth and shows a visual representation for better understanding.
