Absolutely do a presentation instead of taking one of the exams , finals week you will be very grateful.

Professor Li is amazing! He is overall really easy going and makes sure everything is explained in detail during his lectures. Tests are also similar to past tests and can help you do well in the course. If you have any questions, he answers them in great detail as well and genuinely cares about his students to do well in the course.

Syllabus is promising but the class is extremely boring. Typical liberal class with too many boring readings. Professor is very dull, TA wasn't involved at all. Attendance isn't mandatory which helps. Readings pile on and the midterm/exam allow a cheat sheet if you can fit enough random quotes on them to cover the essay sections.

The course had given me a lot of insight into what Economists actually do, and it's real world relevance. I am glad that I took it

Professor Li is passionate about the course, and the course was interesting. However, there's lot of readings to go through. Don't worry because you will have flexibility in this course. You can either do a midterm or a presentation (do the presentation), then you have an essay (marked very fairly), and a final with a crib sheet (marked fairly).
