Great prof! Is clear about whats required for the Midterm and Final exam
I would recommend going to his lectures for the first half of the sem but after midterms the content gets very easy so theres not really any point. His midterm was way too many questions for such a short amount of time which was absurd but the practice exam helped you to not go in blind. Midterm was much harder than the final.
He is the greatest Law teacher you can take. He is very charismatic, and his teaching is second to none. I highly recommend attending his lectures because self-studying without them is hard, and he explains concepts really well!
An outstanding professor overall, who is very smart and very understanding. Only marked on four written assignments throughout the semester, and was fairly graded. He is very accessible outside of class and is very specific with his requirements and his overall feedback. 10/10 prof
Knowledgeable professor, and the lectures are very interesting. But he is a very tough grader. This is the lowest grade I've ever gotten in a law course. Ask for feedback on your essay thesis/ outline before you start writing. No final exam.
Amazing prof. His lectures were super in-depth and gave great real-life examples to help you understand the concepts. If you go to class and take notes and PAY attention you will get a great mark.
I really enjoyed this class with prof Marinett! This class made me consider a minor in law. Exams are open book, but STUDY as if they aren't, and you will do great. Take advantage of the LAW122 online tutoring, and review as you go. I really enjoyed this class. Although very dense material, it is very applicable to the real world.
Very good prof, knows what he's teaching, and doesn't overshare or get off topic. Lecture slides are easy to understand, however the only 2 things your grade is worth is the midterm and final so they weigh a lot. Exams are open book with anything that isn't technology.
He is a nice prof and seems quite knowledgeable. I just found that the lectures were such a bore as they were a 3 hours yapfest (tough to pay attention the whole time at esp at 8am). However, his marking is fair and as long as you put in the work, you'll be fine.
Trust me when I say this "one of the best proff for LAW122". It might seem he is fast but there is lot to cover in each lecutre. If u feel like that, record it and listen up afterwards. Open book exam but try to make good notes and u'll be good. I didn't study textboook. His lectures were enough. Practice mid will make it easier so study before it.
