I'm not sure what he was like for CPS109, but for CPS621 he's a good prof. Good lectures and layout. He does in-class quizzes, but they're worth little so attendance isn't really necessary. His labs and group work are really cool to learn and make the class fun. The midterm was fair and like the lectures, idk how his marking style is though
I respect that he's only here for awhile as an professor. His accent does throw a lot of people off, for me it was okay as long I listened actively. His lectures were just read of through slides and weirdly repetitive. Really not worth going to class. I got an B because of prior knowledge. Your questions in class will never be answered correctly.
CPS843: One of the toughest classes due to the way the lecture is taught. Yea his accent is pretty hard but after like 4 weeks you should get used to it. Might as well go to lecture since his slides are pretty bland and confusing. I would advise watching youtube videos for this course. Group report depend on group and final is a coin flip.
Professor Wang has a bit of an accent that makes it hard to follow his lectures. Besides that, his lectures are quite boring, reading off the slides with a monotone voice. Whenever a student asks a question that he doesn't understand, instead of asking them to clarify, he sort of moves past, giving some bs response. You're better off self studying
He does not teach properly, and it is hard to understand him since he has weak English
CPS 843: Richard Wang doesnt seem like he is interested in teaching the course. Very quiet and unenthusiastic tone when reading off the slides. Self studying using the slides is also boring and a slog. His slides consist of just equations and some pictures that showcase some applications. This course is not a bird course anymore with this prof.
