She is an extremely hard marker. Make sure to read the textbook and give more than enough details! there were many times where I dont know where marks were taken off or marks were taken off for slightest of things
Honestly, Professor Saiphoo is a decent prof, especially compared to the rest of the psych profs at Ryerson, she's not hard. She does mark a little harder though so if you want higher marks you have to go above her expectations. The only negative thing about this course was that she wasn't very clear about her marking scheme and grading criteria.
No clear marking scheme. Unreceptive to student feedback. Mostly a self-taught course. Make sure you read your textbook because the slides are not at all sufficient. Lectures were short and were more for clarification than teaching. Interesting material for sure, but made unnecessarily difficult and stressful (ironically). W/ respect, do not take.
Midterms/exams were mostly short answer and was marked extremely harsh. When asked for a regrade she gave us 48 hours to prove why we deserve more marks. Many questions were based on concepts she never mentioned in lecture. Was not understanding or flexible to the students needs. Content was interesting but Dont take this class w/ her respectfully
Do not attend any of her classes! She doesn't teach; she wraps up classes much earlier than anticipated. She doesn't use any clear-cut evaluation criteria for the exams and assignments, so you never know how you'll be graded. Her grading is absolutely awful!
Terrible professor. Lazy, didn't teach anything, course was all self-taught through textbook. Marking was unjustifiably bad and exams were primarily short answer which she graded without a rubric or any reasoning. Took a relatively easy subject matter and made it harder just to be difficult. STAY AWAY
