Probably the hardest, most difficult pass Ive ever received. First day of class she said that she wont teach but review content, meaning you teach yourself. Usually thats manageable but guidance is key in this class. Midterm avg was 52% and everyone needed a minimum 45% on exam to pass, most didnt pass so she bellcurved a few. Worst teacher
Nuclear physics sounded interesting but this professors teaching style made me question my program choice. She is a nice lady but by far the worst teacher I have ever had. Very knowledgeable but not efficient in getting her point across so even going to class was pointless. Would like to see another prof teach.... So avoid it if you don't need it.
Prof is barely audible, doesn't care if you pay attention, & it's easy to miss her doing a CRUCIAL example (not on D2L) that'll save your ass on tests. No office hours (Skype instead). You're in the dark solving problems, and won't even give a full answer for examples! Textbooks are ESSENTIAL, she only covers snippets of what you need to know.
Worst Professor at Ryerson. She cannot teach. She rushes through lecture slides and takes 5 seconds for each clicker question. She calls out people for talking.
Not bad at teaching, you have to make sure you attend her lectures, as a lot of what she says is not on slides. She also posts a lot of practice help online, and is always readily available to answer questions thoroughly during office hours. My only complaints with her are that she is rude over email and in class, and calls students out.
Her passive-aggressive and impatient nature shows in each and every class. She gives minimal time to answer iClicker and loudly counts down the last few seconds left on the clock while you are trying to solve the problem. You don't understand something in class? Sounds like a "you" problem.
Probably one of the worst profs at Ryerson. Not clear at all, rushes through examples and gives one-word answers when asked to explain something not understood. Worst of all, she gives 5 seconds for iClicker questions. She told us to practice physics by "making up our own questions"
Arguably the worst professor at Ryerson. If the majority of your students are failing it reflects on the professor. Marks unprofessionally based on favouritism. Does not in any way teach in a way to prepare you for the exams. Worksheets are essentially useless as there is no way to know the final answer and see if you are learning correctly. Worst.
Although knowledgeable, her lectures are disorganized and she usually explains concepts in an unclear manner. If you ask for help, she is great, but can be rude to students at times. When she solves problems, she is very rigid and "by the book." However, she really knows how to integrate technology with the learning environment.
The course material is not hard, unfortunately, although very knowledgeable, she is incapable of passing her genius onto the students. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE UNLESS MANDATORY!
